Town Talk Posts of the Week

Years ago the City and County Journal newspapers in St. Louis started a feature called "Town Talk". Basically the idea was that instead of making people have to write a letter to get their thoughts published in the paper, they would just let readers call a phone number, leave a message on a machine, and the paper would publish whatever they had to say. Sounds good enough until you consider the actual demographic that reads the City and County Journals consists of nothing but septagenarian cranks and assorted bored, lonely wackos. That is except for me, and I only read it for the septagenarian cranks and assorted bored, lonely wackos in "Town Talk".

IS THERE ANYONE else besides me who is tired of hearing about Kerry's and Bush's military service. Who cares? Tell us what you're going to change when you're president. Also, I hope the carbs fad goes belly-up and soon.

Gays, we don't hate you, we hate what you do to your bodies. The Bible says we should forgive you. Don't listen to uneducated people who read books written by doctors of medicine and science. Read the Bible, Roman's Chapter 1, verses 26-32.

THIS WORLD IS not going to get any better until the Lord comes back. I think everyone should get their lives ready. They should go to church and worship the Lord if they want good to come to them.

TO THE PERSON who keeps taking my Meramac Journal on Saint Michaels Lane, please do not do that.

THIS IS IN response to the Sept. 7 Town Talk. What part of the county does riff raff live in? I'd sure like to go past your house on trash day.

I would like to suggest to all the old retired people out there, do your shopping and recreation during the week, during the day, so those of us who are out there working and trying to make a living aren't crowded during the weekend and in the evenings. It isn't fair that we have to work all day during the week and then in the evening and on the weekends, be crowded by a bunch of old
people.

TALK ABOUT RIDICULOUS. There is no statue of limitations on a parking ticket, but there is on robbery, rape and assault. What a bunch of idiots we have running this city to consider a parking ticket more of a heinous crime than a robbery or a rape.

I am calling in regard to the Town Talk section of the paper. I think it's the worst section of the paper, it's always negative. If people don't have any better things to do with their time, it's really sad. Everything in there is always negative this is not good for a small town like Warrenton.
