TOWN TALK POSTS OF THE MONTH

I have received my new TV Guide, the bigger and better TV Guide they advertise now. And I just love when you want to find out what's on a certain channel. It says various programming, then at the bottom of the page it says for 24-hour local listings and channel numbers please visit the TV guide on the computer. If I had online maybe I would do that, but not everyone can afford a computer and afford Internet access.

If these gas prices keep going up, I might have to give up bottled water.

This is concerning the scarecrows on Main Street (Warrenton). The one in front of the National Bank is in poor taste. It was created I'm sure with good intentions for breast cancer awareness, but the creator made enormous breasts (on the scarecrow). For those of us who had breast cancer and have lost a breast through it, we find it insensitive. There are better ways to get the point across. Would you display someone who lost a leg to cancer with enormous legs that are out of proportion?

I really get a kick out of these Town Talks every week. I am just amazed that there are so many ill-bred, illiterate, ill-mannered, ill-humored, ill-logical, ill-tempered people who live in Warren County.

This is in response to the person (who called into the Oct. 26 Town Talk) who doesn't like the dirt by Daniel Boone School. Just so you know that when you tear up dirt, you don't just put the dirt back down. As far as getting stuck, well don't drive in the mud.

I AM A Nazi. I love Hitler. I really don't, but a person can claim anything. The Bush hater who claims to be Republican is in Gephardt-Carnahan country so I believe that person is not representing himself or herself honestly, but is a loser Democrat. The Democrat governor and the Democrat mayor in Louisiana must request federal help. Remember state's rights.

I WANT TO comment on the disillusioned Republican comment that was in Town Talk this past week. Shame on the disillusioned Republican. This is the best commander in chief we've ever had and I doubt if you are really a white, Protestant Republican because they have more sense than to say anything like that.

IF YOU WANT to talk about inept presidents that need to be impeached, talk about Jimmy Carter, talk about Bill Clinton. I think George W. Bush is doing a fine job and the people who blame him for the hurricanes are just stuck on stupid. If the man could run a third time for president, I'd vote for him again proudly. Long live George W. Bush and long live Rush Limbaugh.

IN RESPONSE TO "Hard to believe": What gives you the right to say that what people think or say is stupid? We all have our opinions on different topics and if you think everybody's opinion is stupid then don't read Town Talk; read the Wall Street Journal instead, and don't take up space in this column. I'll bet you are a female around 60 to 70 years old.

FORGET OZONE. THINK about all those drive-up windows where they take your order for burger and fries. Exhaust fumes from these vehicle tailpipes pouring into the open window while waiting for their orders. Especially trucks with pipes pointed into the opening. I was standing over my meal at a local fast food restaurant. Why don't they put all the pipes on the right side of the vehicles since all the windows are on the left side?

IF JIM FOX has to write a column about his colonoscopy, I think maybe the old boy better retire. If he has to drive all around town to get to a hospital and have a colonoscopy and then write about it, I think that's very sad and pathetic.

I plead with our young mothers to watch the length of the skirts they buy for their young daughters. I have seen so many young girls dressed in skirts that are completely inappropriate in church. It's a disgrace. Mothers, please watch your children.
