IN RESPONSE TO Hoosier heaven I have been going to Branson, Mo., for shows for more than 30 years now and there isn't one that I haven't enjoyed. I'm going to Powell Hall this weekend, but I enjoyed the Branson shows just as much and I think Andy Williams still looks like a human being.
TO THE OLD person that bashed Branson, Andy Williams and Hoosiers, I suggest a very large daily glass of prune juice.
WE GOT OPRAH Winfrey now taking up with (Barack) Obama. What kind of can of worms is this opening up? Anybody who changes their vote because of Oprah ain't got no business voting in the first place. And now she's going to start something that's going to go on and on, I'm sure, for years and years. It's just all so much a part of ignorance in this country. Logic, reason and common sense are long gone, folks.
It will be a sad day to see the lights go out on the Main Street Coffee House on Main Street. But when the coffee house becomes the poor house, it's time to turn out the lights. It was so with Pizzas 'n Cream across the street and the Cactus Rose down the street. There goes another, so sad business for our town.
ALL OVER TV today we've got to watch about Tony LaRussa's drunk driving. Everyday tens of thousands of people get pulled over for drunk driving and charged with it. But because he is a prima donna, we've got to watch all of that. Maybe some of you are interested. I sure am not. I mean these prima donna sports people are just special every which way you can think about. They even got special punishments for them when they break the law and take dope and things. Baloney.
TO THE IDIOT drivers: Slow down. When you are in a subdivision and you are in a work zone, it says 25 (mph) you are going 50 or more. You are going to hit a little child or a worker and you might hit someone who is walking. I do not walk in the street. I am scared of you idiot drivers. Duh.
HI. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all my neighbors who got their Christmas lights up in the middle of November. They can get their Christmas lights up, but they can't seem to do the things they're supposed to do like clean up their leaves and things like that. Happy Holidays.
ALTHOUGH I HAVE smoked marijuana and enjoyed it, you do not need to experience pot in order to judge it ethically wrong. Biblical law, both Old and New Testament, forbids any form of intoxication.
MAKE NO MISTAKE, showing the execution of murders on television would change people's minds on the subject.TO THE PERSON who is unhappy with rude bigots, I have to agree. I've lived here for several years and I've never seen such a group of illiterate hillbillies in my life.
WHAT DID WE do wrong? The minister that married us some 70 odd years ago said what God has joined together let no one separate until death do you part. Now the wife is in a nursing home and has dementia and I am home alone, 90 percent blind and 80 percent deaf.
