I CALLED TO comment on the vast majority of people who phone into the Town Talk line. They absolutely reflect every ill society faces today: the lack of civilization, the lack of courtesy, the big-me-little-you idea that most of them have. Why don't they take a look at themselves instead of criticizing everybody else? And for the person complaining about their elderly neighbor, the elderly man has a right to be on this earth as much as you do and you need to stop your dog from barking. This man has a right to go to bed and not be bothered by your family.
ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY: I'm disabled and on Disability Social Security. My lawyer told me I can have a million dollars in the bank and it would have nothing to do with drawing my Social Security. That person who belittled people about having Social Security is a nut cake.
I HAVE TWO comments. No. 1: would everybody please let the old people alone. Quit talking about them. Let them do what they want. No. 2: "parking" lots are parking lots, not streets or highways. Slow down.
I HAVE TO respond regarding MetroLink when Hwy. 40 closes down. This is ridiculous. Why would I want to ride Metro when I could be in the convenience of my own car, have warmth, peace, listen to the radio instead of being on a bus with people I don't know, taking a chance of being sick, being dirty, having bacteria around me and everything. Having to wait for it; never knowing if it's going to be on time. I'd rather find a different route and take my chances. And everybody's going to do the same thing.
